Dental spa atmosphere / Nitrous Oxide Caring for your comfort is made to alleviate the fear of coming to the dentist. A 'dental spa' atmosphere has been created to provide a pleasant experience. Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) is available to help you relax. The office is equipped with flat screen monitors for viewing your x-rays, an Ipod that is fully loaded with a variety of music and virtual glasses to experience the at the movies feeling while having your dental treatment performed. Cozy blankets are also available for your convenience.
Digital x-rays We are now able to offer our patients a new type of x-ray, the digital radiograph, which offers benefits beyond the traditional x-ray. We place a sensor that is about the size and shape of a normal x-ray film in your mouth. It is scanned and the scanner sends signals to a computer that are translated into large, crisp, electronic pictures of your teeth, supporting bones, and gums. The pictures can be enlarged and colored for clarification, and are stored in your file for future reference. Images are ready in seconds, and because there’s no film, there’s no harmful chemical waste! We know that many of you worry about the amount of radiation you might potentially receive. Because digital radiographs require 90% less radiation than traditional x-rays, you can relax … the radiation is so low, you no longer have to wear a lead apron.
Diagnodent Laser The Diagnodent is used as an aid in the diagnosis of dental caries on throughly cleaned teeth. The laser light is designed to get down into the pits and grooves and discover caries and decay. It sends readings so the progression of the dental caries can be monitored from visit to visit. It can also find caries and decay before it can develope into more serious problems and require extensive and expensive treatment. The Diagnodent is a highly effective and reliable tool in preventative dentistry.![]()
Invisalign/Clear Aligner Orthodontics This is the new era...Wires are OUT and Invisalign is IN. Most adults who want straighter teeth dislike the idea of uncomfortable metal braces. We have a solution: Invisalign. Dr. Ayan is a certified Invisalign dentist who uses this revolutionary form of orthodontia to straighten teeth.
Invisalign involves a series of clear, acrylic aligners that gradually and comfortably move teeth into their ideal position. The aligners are removable, so they're easy to clean and provide flexibility not offered with traditional metal braces. Take your aligners out to eat a meal and brush your teeth, or for special occasions. To create your custom aligners, your Invisalign dentist will take an impression of your smile and send it to the Invisalign lab. We'll check your progress every few weeks and send you home with the next set of aligners in your series. Invisalign puts a terrific new smile within reach!

Zoom Whitening Over time our teeth tend to become discolored or stained. Whether this is from smoking, coffee, or any other foods, a beautiful smile could be closer than you think. We offer a safe, inexpensive solution to an unsightly smile. Whitening your teeth is a very simple procedure that can be completed in relatively short period of time. How Zoom Works ? The Zoom light-activated gel was developed after years of research by Discus Dental, the leaders in professional take-home tooth whitening. The gel is a scientifically formulated, pH balanced hydrogen peroxide that, when activated by the Zoom light, gently penetrates the teeth to remove deep stains and discoloration. With proper care and an occasional touch-up at home, your whiter smile will sparkle for years.
Implants Today there is another option for patients who are missing permanent teeth. Rather than resting on the gum line like removable dentures, or using adjacent teeth as anchors like fixed bridges, dental implants are long-term replacements that your oral and maxillofacial surgeon surgically places in the jawbone. Composed of titanium metal that "fuses" with the jawbone through a process called "osseointegration," dental implants never slip or make embarrassing noises that advertise the fact that you have "false teeth," and never decay like teeth anchoring fixed bridges. Because dental implants fuse with the jawbone, bone loss is generally not a problem.
Sealants A sealant is a plastic coating applied to the chewing surfaces of back teeth. Grooves in these teeth are so narrow that a toothbrush cannot fit into the spaces to remove plaque. Sealants prevent dental decay in the grooves. Sealants can provide 100% protection from dental decay or "cavities" on the chewing surface. Children should receive sealants on permanent molars as soon as they erupt (about ages 6 and 12 years). While they may last up to 10 years, 2 to 4 years is a more reasonable estimate. Sealants can be highly effective in protection against cavities provided the sealant is continuously monitored by a dentist. Sealants should be checked by a dentist during regular check ups and if needed they can be re-applied.

TMJ Dr. Ayan places a strong emphasis on TMJ (temporomandibular dysfunction) of the head, neck, and bite origins. Dr. Ayan has the expertise, experience, and technology to find the most relaxed physiologic position for the jaw. Repositioning appliances and orthotics combined with a modern and high tech neuromuscular approach to dentistry can treat TMJ disorders with a comfortable, non invasive and non surgical approach. TMJ stands for the Temporomandibular Joint. It is the joint that attaches your lower jaw (mandible) to the temporal bones in your skull. The TMJ serves as a hinge for the jaw and moves together every time you use your mouth. Any disruption or damage to these joints could lead to a medical and dental problem known as TMJ Dysfunction or TMD. This is a chronic illness that affects 75 million people.
